Yurtcamps Contemporary Yurts come in two sizes

A large yurt comfortably sleeps 4-6 persons (king size bed + up to 3 single beds, additional fold-up bed available on request. Max 5 adults). Bedrooms can be created in large yurts using the drawable canvas partitions.

A small yurt comfortably sleeps 2 persons (double bed) + a cot. (some of our small yurts will also accommodate a fold-up bed sutiable for one child)

Tariff prices are per Yurt

A weekend runs from 3.00pm Friday to 10.00am Monday
A midweek runs from 3.00pm Monday to 10.00am Friday
A week runs from 3.00pm Friday to 10.00am Friday or 3.00pm Monday to 10.00am Monday
Flexibility of dates outside peak periods we can be flexible about dates and duration of stay. Speak to us.

Extras:
We have a small number of secluded woodland yurts. These attract a 10% surcharge. The only compulsory extra is a bed linen hire charge of £5.00 per person per stay. There are no hidden extras. Prices include a starter pack of eco-logs, Calor gas and paraffin.

High chair and travel cot package £10 per stay.

Hire of a fold up bed is £30 per stay.

Please note that our cafe bar is within baby monitor range of many of our yurts. Please request such a yurt if required.

Group bookings:
We cater for group bookings, and welcome parties, wedding events, corporate bookings and most other group events. Please ensure to book early so we can book all your yurts close together.

To make a reservation:
Email us on the contact form for confirmation of availability of your dates. Emailing is best as we are often busy on site. Alternatively if you would like to speak to us call our office on 07768 665544 or 01626 824666.

To secure your booking a non-refundable deposit of £150 per Yurt per holiday is required. This can be paid by debit card, credit card (please note use of a credit card will incur a 2% surcharge - this is what it costs us!), or cheque made payable to 'The Contemporary Yurt Company' and post it to:

All balance payments are due to be paid in full no later than six weeks before arrival. If your holiday start date is within six weeks full payment is required.

You will receive confirmation / invoice online (or postal on request) of your reservation.

Terms and Conditions:

In the event of cancellation:
If the cancellation is more than six weeks before arrival and the balance has not been paid, the deposit will not be refunded. Alternatively the deposit can be off-set against a holiday to be taken at a different date later in the year, subject to availability and a £50 handling charge, or rolled over to the following year.

If the cancellation is more than six weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid then the total cost of the holiday will be refunded, less a handling charge of £50, ONLY if the booking is able to be re-let. If the booking cannot be re-let the cost will be refunded less a £75 handling charge Alternatively the cost of the holiday can be off-set against a holiday to be taken at a different date, subject to availability and a handling charge of £50.00, later in the year or rolled over to the following year.

If the cancellation is less than six weeks before arrival and the balance has not been paid the whole of the deposit is non-refundable, nor can it be offset against another date later in the year, nor can it be rolled over to the following year, except in exceptional circumstances and by arrangement with the owners.

If the cancellation is less than six weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid then the cost will not be refunded unless the booking can be re-let and then 50% will be refunded, nor can it be offset against another date later in the year, nor can it be rolled over to the following year, except in exceptional circumstances and by arrangement with the owners.

Whilst every effort will be made to avoid them, booking errors made by Yurtcamp will not in any circumstances be compensated for unless there is less than 3 months until the booking dates commence.

Whilst we will always endeavour to allocate specifically requested yurt positions, we are unable to guarantee them.

Please remember you are staying in a woodland camping environment with live animals and other hazards. Some of the camp equipment can be dangerous if misused. Please be aware that accidents can happen and we are not responsible for such accidents ( to the greatest extent permitted by law ). It is your responsibility to ensure you supervise any children with you.

We ask visitors to arrive between 3pm and 8pm on arrival days, and ask that you please contact the reception office if you are substantially delayed ie more than one hour behind your notified arrival time. Visitors who arrive much later must be prepared not to be greeted at the site, but you will receive instructions on how to reach your Yurt.
